This Privacy Policy explains what information Global Prayer Times handles and how. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here. This document is a template and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before launch.
Information we collect
We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email, or any personal details to show prayer times. Your method, madhab, theme, and last-selected city are stored only in your browser (localStorage) so the site remembers your choices — they never leave your device.
Your location
If you allow it, your browser shares your approximate latitude and longitude with the page so we can show times for where you are. This is used in your browser to calculate prayer times and is sent to a reverse-geocoding provider only to display a readable place name. We do not store your location on our servers. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your browser settings.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
Third-party services
City search is powered by the Open-Meteo geocoding API, and place names by BigDataCloud's reverse-geocoding service. When you use those features, the relevant query (a city name, or your coordinates) is sent to those providers. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
